COUNSELING FORWARD

I am a Certified Sex Therapist (CST) and have specialized training in sexual health and relationships. I am a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). I work with all aspects of sex and sexuality that may be the cause of pain or distress. These issues could include any variety of difficulties with desire, arousal, intimacy, physical pain, communication, identity/expression, or fertility. I work with individuals/couples of all expressions (LGBTQIA2S+ identified, heterosexual-identified, non-monogamous, polyamorous, etc) to integrate sex positive communication into their relationships in order to find pleasure and fulfillment in their lives. 
 
My work is primarily focused on providing sex therapy to individuals and couples. I was trained in a generalist fashion and weave family systems therapy with person-centered to allow the client's needs to drive the direction of therapy. I also incorporate the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, relaxation training, and narrative therapy to assist clients in finding relief from symptoms of trauma and anxiety.

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Dominican University. I also received my Doctorate degree in Education from St. Francis University with a concentration in organizational leadership. I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) with experience working with individuals that use substances or behaviors as a way to cope with distress and trauma.
